Cream Cheese Layer Deserts

We have, and use, the most amazing cream cheese frosting recipe. I never seem to have enough. Recently I made a pumpkin spice layer cake and use the frosting. It ended up tasting like a pumpkin roll and we loved it so much that I decided to come up with a layer desert using it. Here is the frosting recipe:

Ingredients:
2 8oz packages of cream cheese
2 sticks of sweet cream butter
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
powdered sugar

I make this up ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until I am ready to use it. It mixes better if the cream cheese and butter are room temperature before you start.

Mix the cream cheese and butter with a fork until smooth and well blended. Add 1 tablespoon of milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Mix until well blended and then mix in another 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Taste and see if it is sweet enough for you. If not, continue to add powdered sugar a little at a time until you like it.

To make the Cream Cheese Layer Desert just add a bit more milk until the frosting is thin enough to slowly run off your spoon. Layer it with fresh or frozen fruit or broken cake in tall custard cups and keep chilled until served.
