A Day At The Fair

We went to the county fair today. It has been going on since Sunday but today was the first that we had a chance to go. They have activities in the afternoons and evenings but we just went this morning for the kids (and myself) to see the animals and exhibits.

Our local fair is rather small, according to the folks there, but we had fun anyway.

We enjoyed looking at all the entries for the food and crafts. Here the girls are drooling over the baked goods.

Then we went to see all of the animals. There were cows galore and a petting zoo area. Here the girls are admiring the goats. Curly was so delighted to see them.

My favorite exhibits were the vegetables. Here are two displays that I really liked.

What a great day to go to the county fair. We also picked up information for the 4H. Sissy is old enough now that she can get involved if she wants. We will have to see what groups are available in our area. She is very excited.
