We always start off with a snow cone and perhaps a bit to eat. There is no time to sit down, so we walk the vendors while we finish off our treats. That way we get the food and shopping out of the way and are ready for the really great stuff.
Here is a picture of the kids in the barrel ride. The string of barrels is pulled by a tractor. Some years they go all over the park. This year they stayed in a field that was taped off for the purpose. I liked it much better this year. No worries if the kids are having fun, you can see them the entire time.
Then we were off to see the animals in the petting zoo. This was Little Mans first year to go in. The girls love to see and touch all of the animals that are brought for the purpose. There were pigs, a dog, ducks, chickens, alpacas, goats, bunnies, kittens and an area that the children could not go in that had a monkey, a parrot and other more exotic animals.
Little Man and Curly couldn't get enough of the goats. Especially those wiggly tails.
Little Man loved to chase the animals. Thankfully, he isn't that fast yet and the animals had an easy time getting away. :D
