January Discount Grocery Haul

It's the beginning of the month and time for another discount grocery haul. I honestly wish that my favorite grocery store was all over so that everyone could get such great value for their food dollars. This doesn't account for all of our nutritional needs for the month but it sure does make a dent and I purchased all of this for $238.

I'll start with the snacks:
~ 5 boxes of Annie's Organic Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Granola Bars
~ 5 boxes of Annie's Organic Chewy Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
~ 2 bags of Annie's Organic Grabbits Chocolate Mint Sandwich Cookies

I really love this bargain grocery store. They don't carry everything that I need to feed the family but the things that they do have are amazingly priced!!! The rest of our groceries will probably be picked up in bits and pieces so I don't plan on sharing those. I just couldn't resits sharing these incredible finds!!!

March Grocery Haul ~ Part 2

Today's post is another grocery haul. This one is a bit smaller, cost less than $100, and is from Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. I'm generally very happy with the selection of organics and their prices are very reasonable.

I was able to get it all into one picture:
~ 3 trays of Chicken Tenders (I love these for making homemade chicken fingers)

~ 1 bag of Summers Peak Three Berry Blend, Strawberry, Blueberry, Blackberry
~ 3 packages of Buitoni Non-GMO Basil Papparelle Pasta
~ 1 box of John F Martin & Son Salted Butter

First Grocery Haul For March

We weren't feeling so hot at the end of February, (I'll tell you about that in a different post) because of a little bug that was going around. As a result, we are still stocked up on most of the things that we purchased last month. Being sick really does a number on your appetites.

Here's a quick run through of what I picked up. I'm still using my husband's little car so the shopping has to be broken up into little trips instead of major shopping all on one day. The plus side is that his little car takes a lot less gas than my Suburban.

This haul cost less than $200 and is from that discount grocery that takes 45 minutes to get to. Well worth the trip and the exact reason that I always go there first.

Frozen Veggies, Meats, and Ice Cream

I'll start off with frozen foods so they can go into the freezer:
~ 7 bags of 365 Organic Three Pepper Blend
~ 5 bags of 365 Organic Broccoli Florets
~ 10 bags of 365 Organic Mixed Vegetables
~ 2 boxes of Philly Gourmet 100% Pure Beef Patties

~ 2 containers of Stonyfield Organic Fat Free French Vanilla Yogurt
~ 4 bottles of B'More Organic SKYR Smoothie, Strawberry

I am always so happy when I get to the cashier at this particular store. No matter the total it is always amazingly less than it would be at a regular grocery store. Let me know if you want specific details of what we think about any of these items. We've all got our own opinions. Lol

Orange Cinnamon Rolls

I suppose that I will be sharing a review, of sorts, today. I generally don't buy things like this but my youngest son saw these at the store and really wanted to try them. So, here we are.

Quite honestly, my only real difficulty was in opening the packaging. I have no experience in pre-made, tube packaged, items. Lol. I was expecting the packaging to just pop open but I actually had to  work to get into it.

The instructions couldn't have been easier. Simply place the rolls into a greased pie pan and bake for the allotted time.

Once the rolls are baked you top with the frosting that is included. I'm not a fruity dessert type of person but these turned out to be very yummy! If I were to make these from scratch, I'd cut back on the sugar just a bit but as a bake and serve item, I have no complaints. Great job Pillsbury!
