PA Farm Show ~ Horticultural Miniatures

Since I took off blogging for the month of January, I'm a bit behind in sharing all the fun and exciting things that we've been up to. This week I want to take the time to share the pictures we took while at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg Pa. It may, however, take longer than a week since we took so many pictures.

The Horticulture display was the first exhibit that we took pictures of when we first walked into the farm show complex. These miniature landscapes are fantastic.

These little scenes, planted and arranged in clay saucers were the first thing that caught my eye. I've always loved miniatures and when the kids were little I would frequently put their toy soldiers in our potted house plants, hoping that they would like the idea too.

There were so many creative arrangements and interesting containers. What a fun way for children to be introduced to gardening and landscape design.

As we moved on down the isle, the displays became more advanced. I love the use of toy cars and other things utilized in creating the designs.

Each of these large projects had an accompanying sketch depicting the original design ideas.

I really enjoyed this category and would have loved to take longer in this section of the Farm Show alone. Unfortunately, my children got bored and so we continued on. I'll share more in tomorrows post.

Until next time,
May all your endeavors be a blessing!
