It has been unseasonably warn this spring and now we are having a cold spell. With that said, I have no idea how or when our gardening will come together.
As of now our strawberries are flowering but the night frosts may kill all of the blooms.
Our peas are up and should do fine with the weather.
The walking onions are great!!! I have been looking for a nice simple recipe for spring onion soup for several days now. We can harvest the mature plants from last year anytime. We will still have 2 beds of onions for later in the year from the hundreds of topset that I planted last fall.
I sowed carrots and spinach with the peas but have seen no sign of them coming up yet.
In the house we have tomatoes... lots and lots of tomatoes. We should have plenty for canning this year. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
We will be direct sowing some broccoli and other seeds later this week and starting more plants inside.
