Doughnut Day For The Children

We had a planned doughnut day with some friends. All of the children dressed in old clothes and aprons. This was the first time that we had ever made doughnuts and it was so much fun!

The older children cut out all of the doughnuts and the doenut holes in their centers. They used jar lids for the doughnuts and bottle caps for the doughnut holes. I think they did very well.

The smaller children were in charge of guarding the doughnuts while they rose. You can hardly recognize Curly with her hair covered. She is still very cute and having a great time helping her friends.

Some were yeast doughnuts and some were cake doughnuts. Once they were all fried they were coated with carob, coconut or honey frosting. They were all delicious!
