Gone To The Patch

The pumpkin patch that is. We go every year but this year was more special. It was the first time that my in-laws were there to share it with us. I do believe that it may have been the first time that they had ever been to a pumpkin patch ......... or on a hay ride for that matter.

My rule for pickin' pumpkins is that you can have any pumpkin in the entire patch that you want. The only catch is that you have to carry it back all by yourself. Here is how it went......

 This is Curley's first pick

 and this is Sissy's

Little Man didn't have much of a choice

but I think that Sissy could have picked out something that was more of a pumpkin for him.

Here is a picture that I had to throw in of Granddaddy on the hayride. He seemed to fit right in. :)

Then when things settled down in the pumpkin field, these were the winning pumpkins.

 Here is Sissy's

 and here is Curley's

Last but not least, this picture speaks for itself!

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. If that is the case, this post is very long. I hope that everyone in the family enjoys sharing these pictures. Make sure to comment with stories from the field.

Love,
Mother
