Scripture Share ~ Discretion

Thank you for sharing a few moments with me to look over some verses touching on the Biblical idea of discretion. It is the ability to tell what is correct and proper, in relationships with others, and act accordingly.

"But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak." 1 Corinthians 8:8-9

"My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge." Proverbs 5:1-2

"A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion." Psalm 112:5

  "The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression." Proverbs 19:11

  "As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion." Proverbs 11:22
