Scripture Share ~ Diligence

Thank you for sharing a few moments with me to look over some verses touching on the Biblical idea of diligence. It is the habit of working hard without delay in the things that the Lord has assigned. The opposite of diligence is laziness.

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" Colossians 3:23

"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9:10

"Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;"Romans 12:11

  "As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him." Proverbs 10:26

  "The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat." Proverbs 13:4
